I'm Painting Again...And No, I'm not on Vacation!

This summer I decided to go through some of my old and new watercolor books and try to do a tutorial each week from each one.
My new favorite watercolor book is Watercolor Wanderlust, by Hannah Pickerill, and I just had to try the ocean waves tutorial! I live in Toms River, and unfortunately I have not been able to get to the Seaside Boardwalk or beach, so this is the closest I'll get until I take a real vacation!
If you love painting in watercolor, or want to pick up a new, relaxing hobby, I highly recommend this book to start with. The tutorials walk you through color mixing and techniques that give a beautiful, effortless painterly look, and isn't that what an artsy summer hobby is all about?
